What is the BIR Registration Seal Badge?

What is the BIR Registration Seal Badge?

Under BIR RMC No. 38-2026, all online sellers, including Enstack sellers, must get a BIR Registration Seal Badge and display it on their online store by October 31, 2026. It will serve as digital proof of registration for online sellers, e-commerce merchants, and digital content creators without exposing sensitive details like the full TIN or home address.
Alert
Note: Non-compliance may result in penalties from the BIR.

How do I get a BIR Registration Seal Badge?

You can get your badge by updating your Certificate of Registration (COR) at your BIR Revenue District Office (RDO) or online through the BIR ORUS website.

To get a COR with the Registration Seal Badge through ORUS:

  1. Log in to ORUS. If you don't have an account yet, create one first.

  2. Sync your registration record.
2.1 Click the Profile icon at the bottom of the page to open your Profile Page.
2.2 Click Synchronize to update your registration records.

  3. Go to Certificates and Permits.

  4. Download your latest COR with QR code, along with the Registration Seal Badge. A ₱30.00 Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) applies to the certificate under Section 188 of the National Internal Revenue Code of 1997, as amended. Pay it online through BIR's ePayment Channels and keep your proof of payment.

  5. Post the badge on your store. Display the Registration Seal Badge, not your full COR or eCOR, on your online store.

How do I display the badge on my Enstack store?

Existing merchants can upload the badge through their Enstack app:

Step 1: Go to My Account > Documents.

Step 2: Click Upload under BIR Seal Badge.

Step 3: Choose a Photo and upload the appropriate BIR-registered seal badge.

Info Merchants who have not yet upgraded to the Advanced Tier will not be able to upload a BIR-registered seal badge.

Your COR contains sensitive business information. Crop your file so it shows only the Registration Seal Badge and its QR code before uploading. See sample image below for illustration:

I'm not registered with the BIR yet. What do I do first?

Register your business with the BIR first, at your RDO or through ORUS. The badge is only issued to registered taxpayers. You can also request it manually from your RDO by updating your registration information.

My COR is old and has no QR code. Do I need a new one?

Your old COR stays valid, but you need an updated one to get the badge. The circular encourages taxpayers to update or replace the document to obtain a BIR Registration Seal Badge. Posting the old COR online doesn't replace the badge requirement. kzen

Can I upload my whole COR instead of cropping it?

No. The BIR said only the badge, not the full COR, should be uploaded online. Cropping also protects your TIN and address.

I have multiple branches or stores. Do I need one badge per store?

Each registered business (and each branch with its own COR) has its own badge. Use the badge that matches the business operating that store.

Are small or non-VAT sellers exempt?

No. The circular covers all persons engaged in business or the practice of a profession with an online presence. VAT status doesn't matter.

I also sell on other online platforms. Can I use the same badge?

Yes. It's the same BIR-issued badge for your registered business. Sellers on third-party platforms must display it on their profile pages, online shops or marketplace accounts, so post it on every platform where you sell.

Does Enstack check whether my badge is real?

Enstack only displays the badge you upload. Anyone can verify it, because the QR code lets customers check the authenticity and validity of the seller's registration with the BIR.

What happens to my Enstack store if I miss the October 31 deadline?

The webstore and account will remain live and active. On the BIR side, non-compliance will lead to penalties.

Can Enstack get the badge for me or help with my BIR registration?

No. The badge must be secured by the business owner through ORUS or their RDO.

My QR code is blurry after cropping. Will that be a problem?

Yes. The circular requires the uploaded badge to remain clear and readable. Crop from the original downloaded file rather than a photo or screenshot, and test-scan it before uploading.
