Valuation Fee

Valuation Fee

Starting September 18, 2025, all Standard Shipping orders will have a 1.12% Valuation fee (or ₱5, whichever is higher), charged to the sellers.

We’ve made shipping fees more competitive for your customers.

To help you get more sales, we’ve adjusted how fees are charged at checkout. The 1.12% valuation fee is no longer part of the shipping fee charged to buyers at checkout and is now reflected in seller fees instead.

This change makes your shipping rates look more attractive and competitive—just like in other leading marketplaces—so your customers are more likely to complete their purchase.

Below are answers to the most common questions to ensure you’re ready for the change.

1. What is a valuation fee?

The valuation fee is shipping insurance. By declaring the full value of your item, you’re protected: if a parcel is lost or damaged, you can claim the full amount, whether the order was COD or paid through non-cash payment options.

Shipping in the Philippines is made up of more than just the delivery fee. It usually includes:

  • Delivery fee (cost of sending the parcel) + VAT
  • COD fee (if the buyer pays cash on delivery) + VAT
  • Valuation fee (insurance based on item value) + VAT
Couriers have always charged a valuation fee — either directly at branches or hidden in marketplace fees. With Enstack, all these costs are shown clearly, so you and your buyers see the true value of the shipping fee.

2. Why is Enstack now charging valuation fees to sellers?

We are aligning with the standard practice of valuation fees being charged to sellers. This change means:

  • Buyers see lower shipping rates → lower costs at checkout mean fewer abandoned carts and more completed orders.
  • Sellers still enjoy less fees than on marketplaces → even with this change, merchants still earn more on Enstack.
  • Enstack manages the process for you → no need to line up at courier branches or pay upfront.
